Node Params usages
In the “Node params” I can set the common params by type of Yate equipment (YateHSSs/HLRs, YateUDMs, YateUCNs, YateUCN5Gs, YateSMSCs).
The parameters are being listed with their possible values (some from ETSI standard, others from Yate itself). They are available in “Node params” step in Network settings wizard.
Any existing node parameters that were previously set as extra params are automatically moved to the “Node params” step. I can set them also individually from Yate equipment.
Configuration step from Network settings wizard
Selecting an equipment type displays a non-modifiable list of options for that equipment. To reduce the possibility of modifying by mistake the parameters are not directly modifiable.
At the bottom left of the list I can operate the “Modify” button and then I’ll be able to modify the parameters.
Once set, these parameters will be inherited by all the corresponding equipment type.
Overriding Node param from Equipment edit wizard
Adding a new equipment in my network, inherits the previously set parameters. The parameters are not editable in the “Add equipment” wizard. I will be able to modify them individually in the “Edit equipment” wizard.
The inherited parameters simply appear as “Inherited – [value]”, while any parameters that I didn’t set previously are labeled as “Not set”.
In the “Edit equipment” wizard, I can modify each parameter individually using the “Modify” button, and the new set value will only be applied to this equipment.
I can modify as many parameters as I want.
Once the inherited parameters are modified, their new values will be displayed. I can always change back the parameters to the inherited value, or set a new value, by using the “Modify” or “Inherit (value)” buttons.
Pressing the “Inherit (value)” buttons removes the custom parameter value and returns the parameter to the inherited value.
If I choose to check the equipment JSON using the “View JSON” button, the JSON parameters will contain the custom parameters value if I have set them. Otherwise, the inherited parameter value is added to the JSON.
