Upgrading The Basestation

Upgrading Basestation

In order for the Basestation to function, it requires a combination of rpms to be installed.
Upgrading one rpm manually could break the functionality of the Basestation as they depend on each other.

Upgrading RPMs Manually

To upgrade the Basestation manually, please apply these commands:

  • ssh to the Basestation (ssh yatebts@ -p 54321 )
  • ybts-update
  • After the update has been completed, a list of upgraded rpms will appear.

Upgrading RPMs Automatically

Some of the products have automatic updates configured by default while some of them don’t.
To enable or disable it, please follow these steps:

  • ssh to the Basestation (ssh yatebts@ -p 54321 )
  • To enable it: Verify that you have /etc/cron.daily/ybts-update-cron
  • To disable it: Remove the file /etc/cron.daily/ybts-update-cron
